The LEAF Technology Framework

A technology framework is a set of standards and guidelines that enable different technologies, devices, and systems to work together seamlessly. It provides a common foundation for development, ensuring that various components can communicate and function as a unified whole.

Access You Control

The LEAF technology framework enables organizations to deploy a single credential that works across all access points - from traditional door readers to lockers or workstation logons - eliminating the complexity of managing multiple proprietary systems.

Beyond the access points, related software and services communicate in the same language, creating a virtually limitless ecosystem for integration and innovation.

Altogether, the framework provides the highest levels of security and efficiency while allowing you to implement a future-ready credentialing strategy that grows with business needs. It's access you control.

Branch One: The LEAF Interoperable Standard

The foundation of LEAF's success lies in its clearly defined specifications that enable universal compatibility from any RFIC device and LEAF Universal credentials -- out of the box.

The LEAF Standard provides real-world feasibility through a broad selection of devices for distributed compliance.

Branch Two: Credential Security from Issuance to Deployment

LEAF's federated credential issuance ensures the highest security standards while supporting both current and future technologies. With multiple credential solutions, customers can select based on their needs and use cases, and easily transition from legacy systems now and later.

Branch Three: Innovative Tools & APIs

LEAF Universal credentials are securely programmed by committed LEAF Community members via API calls to a federated server. These partners upload the credential details via the API to generate a manifest for programmed credentials. The manifest can be downloaded by the end user as a CSV file and used to import users into PACS databases.

Branch Four: Secure Reader and Device Enablement

LEAF's device enablement follows NIST guidelines for key management and sharing, ensuring secure deployment across the ecosystem.
